Success is a dish best served hot! 🔥

Hi again babes,

Training to be a lash artist is one thing, but creating a successful lash business is quite another! You may well have the best tools and the most incredible application technique, but if those clients aren’t coming through the door then it’s time to focus on building your clientele.

Reviews

According to a survey, 90% of your customers are influenced by online reviews. Every review matters! As well as Google and Facebook, make sure that your business is registered across all of the beauty directories you can find and provide an incentive for your customers to leave a review for your business on one or several of these sites, such as a monthly prize draw. Take the time to respond to each of your reviews, even any potentially negative ones to demonstrate your professional approach and reliability.

Follow up
Finding new clients all the time can be super hard work, so make it easy and appealing for your existing customers to keep coming back. Create a follow-up system that encourages you to contact any clients you haven’t seen for a while to see if they need their lashes doing. Provide them with an incentive such as “10% off your next appointment” to entice them back.

Networking

The quickest and easiest way to get new clients is to network, network, network! Attend beauty conferences, local start-up company lunches or free businesses classes. Make it your mission to go to any events you can find that will help you to meet other businesses and learn something about how to run your own. You will be surprised at how many connections you can make through this! Don’t forget to network online through your social media accounts as well. It's all in the networking baby

Website
If you don’t have a website, you’re already one step behind. It doesn’t need to be the most amazing website in the world, but it does need to provide your contact information, services, promotions and social media links. It should also have an opt-in pop up somewhere that enables you to grow your email list as this is how you’ll target your customers.

Google
Knowing where your website ranks on Google is an essential part of gaining more customers. Many people can’t be bothered to spend ages scrolling through page after page to find the right lash artist for them, they will simply click the first one that comes up. Learn about SEO and how having a blog and Google reviews can help to push your website further up the search results list.

Happy lashing, lovelies!
